You don’t have to be a science fanatic to love and enjoy this place. Go sit in a chair and it will shrink you. It takes 10 minutes from the main city square to see the most famous cathedral in town. Like most other European cities, the cathedrals are always a must-see and are often some of the most beautiful architectural pieces. Glasgow is no exception and its gorgeous cathedral is a testament to that fact.

5. Glasgow School of Art

The main reasons for a visit here is the love of architecture and the whole story behind it from the 18th century. The most famous name is the then 28 year old Charles Mackintosh and the famous rooms he designed, including the Principal’s room, the Mackintosh room: this is where most meetings of the Academy of Art do take place.

6. George Square, the Town Hall and Merchants City District

It’s the main public meeting point in the city. The square has 12 statues of Glasgow’s most famous figures in history. They include Queen Victoria, of course, and many more. I was here deep in the night to see the beauty of Glasgow at night. One of the most famous places in the city – the Merchants city district, is also just on the side and the city Town Hall is here too.

The SSE is an indoor arena and the best and most beautiful of its kind in Scotland. Its main sponsor was Scottish and Southern Energy, thus the name Hydro. It is currently one of the busiest music and events arenas in the world.
